My goodness you look good. Anyway my brother (who is 15 years younger than us) had the same problem. It seems to run in the males of my family. He has a heart attack several years ago and that was how it was discovered. He had surgery and is also taking medication to help. Doctors can treat this sort of thing so easily now. It is not like it was when we were children. Stay happy and at ease. You will come out on top of this. And now for that song?
My brother Vic died from a heart attack Emma. He was only 51. My life has been more athletic than his was so I obviously staved it off. I am 71 now. Yes , I do try to stay happy and at ease. I don't know why I made this vlog it just happened. Look out for my song coming soon.
My father and the oldest of my brothers also died of heart attacks. It is hard to face I'm sure but with the right treatment they can do so many more things now.
Hi John I always love it when I see that you have blogged, you are my kind of blogger, art, music and making things etc. Few tips. Don't worry about your heart. Tom had a heart attack when he was 59 and has had 3 stents put in his arteries at various times since then. He has just had a scan on his heart and it is working strongly. He has a spray for the odd chest pain but other wise is good in the heart department. I do not advise statins, he took them for years and they affected his muscles, when he told the Consultant that he had stopped taking them he replied that it was a wise thing to do. A bit of choccy now and then does no harm, in fact a bit of anything will not matter. I know its hard not to let it affect you but Tom is now 79 and still going strong in the heart department so live life, get painting and singing and you'll be fine. Briony x
Thanks Briony. I am pleased to hear how well Tom has done. It is encouraging. I shall get painting again soon. I have turned my showman's wagon into more of an art studio and am keen to start doing portraits again. I might even have a change of artistic style.
Hi John, good to see you blogging again. I often wondered how you were. Once the shock of diagnosis eases you will see most things in a better light. Just be sensible in all that you do and the worry of it all will diminish. I is good to know you intention to continue with your art, I am still very proud of the portrait you did of my Joe. He is still with me through your art. I always make a point of telling people who the artist is ... the one that brings Joe to life every day. And that portrait is still on my blog. Take care, John, God bless.
