The Isles Of Scilly

I haven't been around for a while because I'm on holiday. Unusual for me to have a holiday but I am doing some work at the same time.
I am on the Isles of Scilly where Tricia has a holiday home. In a moment of weakness and in an attempt to save her some money I said I would do some decorating work in her house!
It is beautiful here. I am on the main island St Mary's. Just me and Mia the German Shepherd.
Things didn't get off to a very good start when Mia cut her paw just before we got on the ship to come here. She was limping so badly when we arrived that I had to take her to see the vet. She is on anti-biotics now and seems not to be suffering. Cost me all my spending money though. I wouldn't mind being a vet!
I have almost finished decorating and will be heading back on Wednesday evenings ship. Should be home by Friday. I do miss my humble little home and will be glad to be home,

This has not been a very well written blog I am sorry, but to be honest I am very tired. Be good to get home for a rest. Sorry about the photos too but wouldn't you know it my camera has broken. Most of these are from my phone camera.

                                                             Love from John and Mia.

  3. The scenic pictures show a lovely place to spend some time. Mia looks much better. It must have been nice to have a change of scenery but going home is always welcome.

  4. Amazing how money put aside always has to be used for something unexpected...

  5. I am so jealous, it's lovely there. Nice to see Heike the vet again, I saw her driving around, she stopped to say hello. How did you go on with the boat, not good in a choppy sea. I chickened out and flew from Lands End, 15 minutes, much better. Did you get chance to go to Tresco? Have a couple of days rest before you make the journey home. Safe travelling. Mia is gorgeous as usual.

  7. Well I for one totally enjoyed this post with all the lovely photos of Mia and the Scilly Isles.
That lady vet is rocking....I know my boy Brownie wouldn't mind being her patient.
Hope Mia's paw is on the mend.

  9. While I sit here, nursing the flu, I'm imagining your lovely little holiday away. I think next time Petal decides to share his ailment when he comes home for the weekend, I'll go on a little jaunt somewhere too. It looks lovely and peaceful there. Hope Mia is on the mend by now and you can start saving for the next vet bill....er....holiday. Sue xx
