Teddy Boys Trousers.

Yesterday an old bloke marched right up to Mia German Shepherd Bain outside the co-op. He knelt beside her and stroked her head. "I used to have an Alsation," he said, "my Alsation hated anyone wearing drainpipe trousers. Almost took a Teddy Boy's leg off once!"

While he was telling me this Mia was licking his face enthusiastically.

Well, I'll tell you. I like "Alsations" too. But there is no way I would ever walk up to one I didn't know and let it lick my face!

My extremely handsome son George and Mia the German Shepherd.

This is an example of what a lovely character Mia is. Okay she might be a bit iffy with other dogs, but as far as I'm aware she ain't never had an inkling to take the leg off a Teddy Boy. Ain't no law says she has to like all other dogs all the time just like there ain't no law says us humans beans have to all like each other all the time. Drainpipe trousers or not!

  1. That man should be a bit worried. Perhaps she was licking his face to see how he tastes.

  2. And to think I've been wearing drainpipe trousers myself today.

  3. This has been one of those posts where I felt like I was trying to learn a second language. Alsatians, drainpipe trousers, teddy boys... This poor lost American boy is so confused. I need to get my bearings straight. Where's the McDonald's?

  4. Mia is obviously an intelligent entity. She could, if motivated, remove the leg of a teddy boy but saw no further use for it. This is probably how civilization begins.

  5. There are Alsatians, and there are Alsatians, some are more aggressive than others but I suspect it's due to their owners. You obviously bring out the best in your dogs, thank goodness.

  6. Give Mia a big hug from me. I don't see enough dogs, my wife is allergic to cats and dogs, plus scared of all dogs bigger than her hand. And because she pushes my wheelchair I never get near enough to stroke any dog.

  7. omg, you are taking me back to the 50's, I remember my Mum taking my brothers trousers in and making them drainpipes, my Dad wasn't best pleased.
I remember my pencil skirts were so tight I had a job getting on the bus, nevermind the beehive hairdo that had to be checked in the mirror in the phone box, the kind that had button A and Button B, remember?

  9. I don't know a teddy boy, but it's always good to go slowly around dogs you don't know. 99.9% of dogs LOVE me. I'm sporting scars from most of the others. You never know.
